Student assaulted outside Stratford High

A 16-year-old Stratford High School student remained hospitalized Tuesday morning after being assaulted as school let out Friday.

Stratford Police Capt. Ken Bakalar said “three or four” students attacked the boy while buses were being loaded.

He said it was not believed that weapons were involved.

Bakalar said police believe the attack was related to a fight at a Barnum Avenue fast food restaurant Thursday night, as well as another incident “somewhere in town” Wednesday.

Police are continuing their investigation.
