The City Savings Bank Building, 948 Main St., was built in 1912 to house a bank. The Classical Revival structure was designed by architect Warren R. Briggs.
The interior banking room’s design is particularly noteworthy. The building now is owned by the city and used for Board of Education administrative offices, although it’s expected the city could put the building up for sale in the future.
