Gloves and sock animals will be made at program

Making sock and glove animals is the topic of an upcoming program at New Pond Farm.Learn how to create sock and glove animals at New Pond Farm Education Center on Thursdays, Feb. 9 and 16, from 6 to 8 p.m.

Kris, the Farm's Artist in Residence, will have several designs to inspire participants as they learn this fun and easy craft. The socks and gloves will be supplied as will buttons and embroidery to give each participant's animal a unique personality. This project may take two to three hours to complete, which is why the class will meet two evenings if a participants needs more time to finish. Participants are also welcome to come back and make a companion for their animal on the second night.

The fee is $20/member, $25/non-member. Reservations are required and can be made by calling the farm at 203-938-2117 or visiting www.newpondfarm.org.
