Fire department honors Kokoska

Frank J. Kokoska has resigned from his post as treasurer for the West Redding Volunteer Fire Department. He was recently honored for this service.

Mr. Kokoska has been involved with the department for the past 31 years and will continue volunteering his time in other areas. He has been involved in all of the fire department’s fund-raisers as chairman, including the annual steak and chicken dinner, the clambake and the two annual game dinners.

Besides his volunteer work at the first department, Mr. Kokoska was an elected member of the Board of Assessment Appeals for 18 years. He is a self-employed carpenter by profession and is semi-retired. His company’s name is Country Craftsman.

Mr. Kokoska and his wife Elaine have been married for 45 years and have two sons, Matthew and Steven.
