Bandjam seeks entrants

After learning the not-for-profit Ridgefield Playhouse was struggling, four boys decided they needed to step up and do something to help. Michael Rosamilia, Cole Butchen, Tucker Hearon and Richard Hume came together with the idea to create a benefit event called Ridgefield Bandjam.

Under Playhouse leadership, the boys initiated a logo design competition at Ridgefield High School, created a marketing strategy, printed T-shirts to sell, canvassed the area with posters and arranged for the event’s musical direction to be managed by the Music Shed of Redding. The rock band competition will be hosted by I-95 radio and is open to area middle school and high school bands. It will feature celebrity judges as well as the senior vice president of marketing from SONY Music to be on the panel.

The deadline for entries is March 14 with the event taking place on May 2 at the Ridgefield Playhouse.
