Concert benefits Haiti Relief Fund

Popular guitarist/composer Doug Hartline will join forces with keyboardist Nick Bariluk and bassist Dave Anderson for a special benefit concert at the Long Ridge United Methodist Church on Sunday March 14, at 3 p.m. A reception will follow.

The program will include uniquely arranged traditional music and church hymns, played in jazz, folk, and country styles. Also appearing is special guest Ginny Hartline on vocals. Much of the music is featured on Mr. Hartline’s newest CD call “Simple Gifts.”

Critics have described Mr. Hartline’s style as “buoyant, soulful, bright, and strongly influenced by Pat Metheny, James Taylor, and The Beatles.” He is known for taking familiar songs and presenting them instrumentally with jazz/folk flavorings.

Admission is free, but a good will offering will be taken to benefit the Haiti Relief Fund. Seating is limited. For more information call 203-744-2337

The Long Ridge United Methodist Church is located 0.6 miles from the West Redding train station at 201 Long Ridge Road.
