The Western Connecticut Youth Orchestra will present a concert on Sunday, March 14, at 6 p.m. at the Clune Auditorium at Wilton High School. Six members of the orchestra — Tahlia Cott, Jason Fenwick, Robert Karl, Charlotte and Glen Ullman, and Heather Wexler — are from Redding.
The Youth Orchestra, now in its eighth season, is a full symphonic orchestra under the direction of Petko Dimitrov and is made up of 60 auditioned musicians ranging in age from eighth to twelfth grades. The concert program, which includes Beethoven’s Symphony No. 6 and Debussy’s Afternoon of a Faun, also includes John William’s Three Pieces from Schindler’s List, originally written for performance by Itzhak Perlman.
Tickets for the March 14 concert are $15 for adults and $10 for students and seniors and will be available at the door on the day of the event. For more information, visit www.wctyo.org or call (203)-894-8786.
