The Wilton Historical society will host the Drum Hill Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution, for their meeting on Thursday, March 18, at the society’s Route 7 complex.
The business meeting and luncheon will be held in the renovated barn at the rear of the property, and then the members will adjourn to the main house. There a docent will conduct a tour through a special exhibit of 30 original lithographs and engravings attributed to Currier and Ives and their contemporary rivals.
On loan from a private collector, the works will feature the favorite Currier and Ives themes of sailing and steamships, horse trotting and racing, hunting and fishing, as well as a series of extraordinary native American tribal chiefs and warriors.
The business meeting will be at 11 followed by luncheon served by Mary Bendix and Lee Ann Schneider, both of Wilton. For information, call Regent Alice Ayers at 762-3045.
