Scholl’s cello recital is Saturday in New York

Leo Scholl, 18, is giving a public recital at The Juilliard School, Paul Recital Hall, Lincoln Center, N.Y. on Saturday, March 13, at 3 p.m. No tickets are required.

This is Leo’s senior (graduating) recital in the Pre-College Division of The Juilliard School, where he studies cello in the studio of Ann Alton. He previously studied with Lois Errante in Wilton.

Leo began playing the cello at age 4 in the Suzuki program at De Paul University in Chicago with Elizabeth Anderson. He participated in the strings program at Redding Elementary School, John Read Middle School and Joel Barlow High School and now attends The Hotchkiss School in Lakeville.

Leo was principal cellist in the Boston University Tanglewood Institute over the summer.

His program on March 13 will include some of the sixth suite for solo cello by J.S. Bach and the Dvorak Cello Concerto with piano accompaniment.
