The Lumberyard Pub in Georgetown is holding the first annual Georgetown Horror Film Festival on Saturday, March 13.
Four scary shorts by local filmmakers were chosen out of 29 submissions from as far away as Spain. They include Lividity, directed by Westonite Stuart Linver; Untitled, directed by Westonite Alex Fjellberg Swerdlowe; Remote, directed by Marc Roussel of Ontario, Canada; and Hunters Moon, directed by Matt Page of Santa Fe, N.M.
The final four will be shown beginning at 9 p.m. At 9:45, judge Keith Carter, creator, producer and director of Orlok The Vampire in 3D, will choose the $500 grand prize winner.
At 10 p.m., Mr. Carter will screen for the first time his very own Orlok The Vampire in 3D. There will be a Q&A at the conclusion of the film.
