Astronomy Night is set at the farm

New Pond Farm is hosting an observation session with its amateur astronomers on Saturday, March 20, at 8 p.m.

Participants can view Saturn, its rings, and most likely, one or more of its moons. Mars should be visible as well, along with lunar features and the winter constellations of Orion and Canis Major and Minor, the Gemini twins and the goat herder, Auriga, and Leo, the lion.

Although there is a warming building next to the telescopes, participants are advised to dress warmly.

Call the farm, 101 Marchant Road, for reservations at 203-938-2117. The program is $4 per person with a maximum of $16 per family for member families and $6 per person with a maximum of $24 per non-member family.
