Redding artist’s work at Governor’s Island fair

Reddingite Margaret Roleke will be participating in the 4 Heads Art Fair taking place Sept. 4-26 on weekends from 11 to 6 at Governor’s Island, off shore from New York City.

One hundred fifty artists were each given a room in an old Army barracks to display their work.

“My ‘Tinkerbelle at War Series’ will be in building H on the third floor,” noted Ms. Roleke, who plans to attend the opening reception from 11 to 6 on Sept. 4.

There is a free ferry from lower Manhattan and one from Brooklyn to the island, Ms. Roleke pointed out.
