Library sets fall story times

Registration is now under way for fall children’s story times at the Mark Twain Library. The fall session begins the last week in September and ends the first week in November. Each story time meets for six consecutive weeks at the hours and on the days listed below. Registration is required for all story times.

Story times are offered for children of various ages according to the following schedule:

Mother Goose, 30 minutes of rhymes, music, and activities for children 12-24 months (accompanied by an adult), will be offered at 10:30 on Wednesdays.

A 45-minute story time for two-year-olds (with adult), combining play, music, books, and crafts, will be offered on Wednesdays at 10:30 and 11:30, and Thursdays at 10:30.

Three- and four-year-olds (and pre-kindergarten five-year-olds) may attend 45-minute story times to listen to books and do crafts on Tuesdays at 10:30 and 1, Wednesdays at 1, and Thursdays at 1.

Children in kindergarten through second grade are invited to their own 45-minute story time at 4 on Thursdays.

Additional special activities for children will be offered throughout the fall. Information on upcoming events will be available at the library and on the library’s Web site: marktwainlibrary.org . For those who like to plan ahead, the library will be offering a winter story time session in January and February, and a spring story time session March through May.
