Vietnam: The 'forgotten' veterans

The names of Ridgefield veterans of every past war but one are written on monuments or plaques in town. However, those who served during the Vietnam era are still without a “monument.”

Some years ago, the Marine Corps League and The Press made an effort to collect the names of the men and women who grew up here or lived here when they entered the service during the Vietnam War years.

On the occasion of Veterans Day, we offer the latest update of that Vietnam veterans list, both to remember these men and women and perhaps to inspire someone or some organization to erect a more lasting tribute.
