Alexander Technique aims to ease back pain

The Alexander Technique, a new workshop through Ridgefield Continuing Education, is a method for easing back pain, improving posture and increasing coordination.

"It helps eliminate repetitive strain injury, carpal tunnel syndrome, tempomandibular joint syndrome, sciatica, arthritis, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, asthma, back pain, or pain in other areas and complements Yoga, Tai Chi, Qi Gong, etc. practices," said instructor Susan Pfeffer.

She is a graduate of The American Center for the Alexander Technique

This 10 session class meets on Wednesdays, Jan. 25 through April 11 (no class Feb. 15 or 22) from 8:30 to 10 a.m. at the Venus Building or Thursdays, Jan. 26 through April 12 (no class Feb. 16 or 23) from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Farmingville School.
