Senior Girl Scout Troop 50873 will be collecting non-perishable food Saturday, Nov. 7, from 10 to 12 p.m. at Stop and Shop to be donated to the Food Pantry in Ridgefield.
“Our troop is participating in a request by Gov. M. Jodi Rell for A Day of Caring and Compassion said Regina Kriz, troop adviser.
“We will be asking shoppers to help to stock the shelves of our local food pantry with items such as pasta sauce, tuna, peanut butter and paper goods to assist families in need.”
