Robert Bruce Laughlin of Manchester, N.H., a commercial artist and master glass craftsman who was a founder of the Ridgefield Guild of Artists, died Tuesday, Feb. 2, at the Farmington Care Center. He was 73 years old and the husband of the late G. Adaline Baker Laughlin.

   

Grant Peacock Jr., 86, retired jeweler, community leader

Grant Allen Peacock Jr., a retired New York City jeweler and former community leader in Ridgefield, died Feb. 3 in Redding. He was 86 years old and the husband of 62 years of Jo Ann Peacock.

Miriam E. Christensen, a retired educator, died on Tuesday, Feb. 2, at Ridgefield Crossings where she had lived for the past three years. She was 83 years old and the widow of Harry O. Christensen, and had formerly lived on Island Hill Avenue.

A celebration of life for Cary L. Wellington will be held at Temple Shearith Israel on Friday, Feb. 5, at 10:30 a.m. Mr. Wellington of Ridgefield and Boca Raton, Fla., died Tuesday, Feb. 2, surrounded by his family. He was 89 years old.

Rita D’Acunto DiMeglio of Port Charlotte, Fla., a former Ridgefielder who had worked at Scotland School, died at home after what her family called a courageous battle with cancer on Jan. 22. She was 67 years old and the wife of Antonio DiMeglio.
