Gregory Barton, 43, RHS 1984, fought cystic fibrosis

Gregory S. Barton of South Glastonbury, who grew up in Ridgefield, died Nov. 4 at Hartford Hospital. He was 43 years old. Mr. Barton fought a life-long battle with cystic fibrosis, which had claimed the life of his sister, Cheryl, in 1981. He received a double lung transplant in July 2006.

   

Virginia Beers, 80, homemaker, former Ridgefielder

Arnold C. Abrahamson of Ridgefield, a retired New York City firefighter and South Bronx teacher, died Friday, Oct.  30,  at Danbury Hospital. He was 91 years old and the husband of Ruth Abrahamson.

Donald E. Stevens of Ridgefield, a former IBM manager who later ran a woodworking business here, died on October 23, while convalescing at Filosa Nursing Home. He was 84 years old and the husband of Helen Stevens.

Reno Severini, 90, Ridgefield native, lifelong golfer

Reno E. Severini of Ridgefield, a lifelong golfer who developed a love of the sport in the early 1930s as a Silver Spring caddy, died on Monday afternoon at Danbury Hospital. He was 90 years oldhusband of Trieste “Tee” Carboni Severini.
