Are there Bible study programs?

Ridgefield Baptist offers Women’s Bible Study the first and third Wednesday of the month at 9:30 a.m.

St. Mary’s offers The Great Adventure Series" by Jeff Cavins on Monday mornings and Monday evenings. Call Mary Jo Calamai at 431-1309 or Bev Scott at 914-763-6243.

Jesse Lee Memorial offers Morning Bible Study on Wednesdays at 10, and Women’s Bible study on Thursday mornings at 9:30.

St. Andrew’s offers Spiritual Partners, which is a program of selected biblical readings followed by conversation with a partner.

What is Young Life?

Young Life is an international, non-denominational organization that strives to introduce the Christian faith to young people in an attractive and meaningful way and provides caring adult role models who will help them navigate the challenges of adolescence. Open to high school students, Young Life meets weeknights during the school year. WyldLife serves students in middle school and meets on weekend nights during the school year. Summer and school year camping trips are also available to both high school and middle school students.

Do any stores sell religious items?

The Christian Science Reading Room at 260 Main Street, lower level, (438-4780) has Bibles and Bible reference books in addition to books on Christian Science.

Temple Shearith Israel has a gift shop with a wide variety of Judaica including ritual items, Bar and Bat Mitzvah gifts, prayer shawls, jewelry, and holy day items for home celebrations. The shop is open Sundays during religious school hours, and during the week from 11 to 5, Fridays until 1. Call 438-6589 for information.
