Flu information available

The H1N1 virus, similar to seasonal flu, is a widely-known public health issue. The state health department is advising that simple prevention steps can be taken to limit the transmission of this influenza virus.

Inquiries about H1N1, including eligibility guidelines for receiving the vaccine and the nearest vaccination site, is available by calling either Connecticut’s Infoline (2-1-1) or the Department of Public Health’s Influenza Hotline (800-830-9426). Both are toll free and available 24 hours a day.
