Weston High School garden takes root

Students and faculty from the Green Club, National Honor Society, and Key Club planted bulbs at Weston High School’s new outdoor garden.

Installed over the summer through the generosity of the Collins Foundation, the garden will be a year-round activity at the high school and will be overseen by the Green Club. Vegetables will be planted in early spring.

Principal Lisa Wolak is an enthusiastic supporter of the garden. “Our students are more and more interested in learning about our environment and in ways to ‘go green.’ We will be meeting in November to outline our ‘growth plan’ and are open to suggestions and assistance from the Weston Community.”

For more information, contact Ms. Wolak at the high school at 291-1600.
