The Weston High girls varsity lacrosse team defeated Bethel 12-8 on Thursday to win its first South-West Conference Division II championship.

Lindsay Koch led the way for the Trojans with four goals. Frances Holmes followed with three and also had an assist.

The Weston High boys lacrosse team cruised to a 10-1 victory over Masuk in the South-West Conference quarterfinals on Monday.

The Weston High boys track team placed fifth overall in a field of 14 teams with 60.5 points (a half a point behind Bethel) at the South-West Conference finals on Monday.
Bunnell was first with 108.5. New Fairfield, which was disqualified in the final event, was runner-up with 98.6666, followed by Newtown with 97.
Weston earned a number of medals, including the silver in the 4x800 relay with Noah Krassin, Brad DeMarco, Cole Clark and David Stankiewicz finishing second in eight minutes, 15.74 seconds.Monday, 21 May 2012 21:47
