Against all odds going up against much larger towns and cities, the Weston under-14 boys soccer team made history by being the first town team ever to win the Connecticut Cup last weekend.
Making history is not new to the team. Last year, as a seventh-grade, under-13 team, the boys made the first ever Connecticut Cup finals appearance for a Weston squad.Thursday, 12 November 2009 10:32

It was not Lloyd Weinstein’s first trip to the Men’s World Masters Powerlifting Championships. But it turned out to be a special one just the same.

The Marlins defeated the Brewers 9-3 on Nov. 1 for the Weston National League championship at Bisceglie Scribner Park.

Ultimately, it was one thing that could decide the outcome of the Weston High girls soccer team’s South-West Conference quarterfinal game against Lauralton Hall.
After 80 minutes of regulation play and two overtimes that followed, the two sides were no closer to determining a winner than they were at the start of the contest.
