Two victories arrived through different approached for the Weston High girls swim team last week.
Visiting Oxford High on Tuesday, Oct. 13, the Trojans had a rather easy time of it. Of the 12 events, they took first in all but one en route to a 76-53 win.

What the Weston High varsity volleyball team learned from earlier losses it would put into play when it hosted Joel Barlow.
By observing the shoulders of their opponent on its hits, the Trojans could better anticipate where the shots would go and react in time. Not only did they handle what Barlow sent at them, they had good placement of their shots for a 3-0 (25-16, 25-17. 25-21) sweep last Friday, Oct. 16.
“That’s the best I’ve seen our team play in a very long time,” said Weston head coach Jamie Charles. “Tonight it all clicked for us.”

Close games are nothing new to the Weston High boys varsity soccer team this season.
Of the 11 games the Trojans have played so far, seven were decided by a margin of one goal or less. The latest came on Monday when they traveled to Monroe to face Masuk.
While the Panthers had the better of play in terms of possession and shots, the Trojans still withstood the threat. They were not disappointed to come out with a 1-1 tie under the lights at Benedict Field on Monday.
