Field hockey: Barlow is tough to contain

Once the opposition broke through it became a downhill slide for the Weston High varsity field hockey team when it visited Joel Barlow.

The Trojans held off Barlow for much of the first half last Friday, Oct. 16. Once the latter got its offense in gear, it was hard to stop as the Trojans fell 5-0 in their most lopsided defeat of the season.

“This one is tough for us,” said Weston head coach Christina Donigian. “We were evenly matched for the first half. When they scored a goal it broke us down.”
