Grand List growth requires trust, collaboration

Tomorrow, First Selectman Tim Herbst will announce his budget proposal for the fiscal year 2012-2013. If the process is anything like it was last year, it will be contentious, unpleasant and de-stabilizing.

It doesn’t have to be that way. We can, and must, be relentlessly responsible stewards of the people’s money. But Trumbull can achieve enough growth in its annual Grand List to sustain our world-class school system and our municipal quality of life.
