Learn how to tweet and let your followers know what’s going on in your life. Follow those with information you care about, world events and local events in this free class. Wilton Library’s Holiday Book Sale, Tuesday, Dec. 1 through Wednesday, Dec. 23. The library’s holiday book sale in the gallery offers bargains, with many books in like-new condition, making an opportunity for holiday gift-giving. All sales support the library. AARP Driver Safety Class-Session I and II, Saturday, Dec. 5 and Dec. 12, 1 - 5 p.m., Wilton Library. The AARP Driver Safety Program is the nation’s first and largest classroom driver safety course designed especially for drivers age 50 and older. The two-part, eight hour course covers the normal changes in vision, hearing and reaction time associated with ageing and provides practical techniques on how to adjust to these changes. Author Talk: Children’s Author Grace Lin, Saturday, Dec. 5, 2 -2:45 p.m., Wilton Library. Adults and children are invited to a presentation from Nutmeg-nominated author Grace Lin. Belgian Beer Tasting with Gregg Glaser, Thursday, Dec. 10, 7 - 8:30 p.m., Wilton Library. Last October, we celebrated Oktoberfest with a tasting of beers led by Gregg Glaser, local beer writer and guru, and this year Gregg returns to the library to lead a tasting of the distinct beers of Belgium, including Trappist Ales, Sour Red Ales, Wild-Yeast-Fermented Lambic Ales, Saison Ales. Menorah lighting celebration, Dec. 14, at 5:30 p.m. on the Town Green in Wilton Center. The event will include live music, hot latkes, Hanukah gelt, dreidels, and is free and open to all.
