Hand-counting slowing release of election results

Wilton’s registrars of voters report before polls closed that since they having to hand-count ballots tonight, the results will definitely not be in by 9:30, as once estimated earlier in the week.

As to when results would be announced, the registrars said they have no best guess at this time.

Partial results from machine–counted ballots will be announced at individual polling places … with the proviso that these will be incomplete until hand-counting is tallied and aggregated with the machine count, they added.
