Lucille G. Taylor, 74, of Watertown died Saturday, Feb. 27, in Waterbury.
Mrs. Taylor was born in Waterbury May 14, 1935, daughter of the late Domenic and Josephine (Martino) Giannini. She was raised in Oakville and lived there for most of her life before moving to Watertown 26 years ago. She graduated from St. Mary’s Hospital School of Nursing, class of 1956, and worked at St. Mary’s Hospital.

Barbara Cart Macauley died March 10, at Danbury Hospital. Mrs. Macauley, 82, was the wife of Michael Macauley for 58 years, and the mother of Wilton resident Jack Macauley. She had moved from Chapel Hill, N.C. to Meadow Ridge Independent Living in Redding last July.
Born July 6, 1927 in Trenton, N.J., Mrs. Macauley was the daughter of Theodore S. Cart, founder of Atlantic Products Corp., pioneer in the manufacture of zippered luggage and golf bags; and Dorothy Wilson Cart, also of Trenton. The Broadway producer John C. “Jack” Wilson, who managed the Westport Playhouse in the 1940s and ’50s and was a Fairfield resident, was Mrs. Macauley’s uncle.

Gerard A. Morin, born in Barre, Vt. on February 22, 1925 and resident of Wilton since 1947, died Sunday, March 14 at his home surrounded by his wife of 63 years and family.
Raised as one of 13 siblings on a northern Vermont farm during the Depression, Mr. Morin moved to Norwalk to work in a war-time production plant at Yankee Metal. Entering the Army Air Corps in 1943, he served his tour of duty as an 8th Air Force bombardier with the 381st Bomb Group based in England.

Robert B. “Bob” Thompson, 88, died March 8.
Though he was born in Minneapolis, Minn., on Aug. 7, 1921, his heart belonged to Texas. Mr. Thompson lived with his family in Thurber from the age of six months. He moved to Fort Worth and was part of the first graduating class of Arlington Heights High School. He also graduated from the University of Oklahoma with bachelor’s and master’s degrees chemical engineering. He served in the Army during World War II.

Kenneth Eakin Watson Jr., age 83, died at his home at the Residences at Wingate at Silver Lake in Kingston, Mass., on March 4. The cause is reported as complications of lung cancer.
Born in Worcester, Mass., in 1928 to Kenneth E. and Katharine (Gilbert Harris) Watson, he grew up in New Rochelle, N.Y. Mr. Watson graduated early from New Rochelle High School to join the Army Air Corps. During World War II he was stationed at Keesler Field in Biloxi, Miss., and served as a flight instructor for B-24 bomber pilots.
Following the war, he attended Philadelphia College of Science and Textiles (now Philadelphia University) and upon graduation he returned to New Rochelle to join the J.W. Wood Textiles sales firm in New York City.

Alan Francis Scribner, born and raised in Cannondale and a lifetime Wilton resident, died Friday March 12, at his home at age 82. His wife of 58 years, Faith, was by his side.
Mr. Scribner, who was known as Al, was an avid Long Island Sound boater and member of the South Norwalk Boat Club. He was a skilled mechanic and carpenter who restored antique engines in his home workshop.

Duncan Mitchell Toll, age 53, who lived in Wilton for more than 20 years, died Wednesday March 3, at home surrounded by his family, after a year-long battle with brain cancer. Sylvia Schoen, age 83, wife of the late Oscar Schoen, died on Tuesday, March 2, at Norwalk Hospital. Known as Simmie, she was the daughter of the late Molly Abramowitz and Benjamin Ash.
Mrs. Schoen was former co-owner of the Connecticut Academy, a vocational school for dental technicians. She was also a gourmet cook who enjoyed entertaining large parties at her homes in Wilton and Branford. Upon retirement, she spent much of her time traveling the world and meeting new people. But most important to her was her family and the time she spent with them.

John Michael Edwards died Feb. 28, at his home in Danbury. He was 56. For a time, he lived on Musket Ridge Road in Wilton.
The son of Jack and Nell Rose Edwards, he was born and raised in Amarillo, Texas. Mr. Edwards graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a bachelor’s degree in finance and an MBA, both with highest honors.

Edna Eaton 85, died Saturday, Feb. 20, in Vermont Respite House following a brief illness. She was born Dec. 7, 1924 in Blue Hill, Maine, the daughter of Harvey E. and Annie (Chapman) Torrey.
She lived in Connecticut, driving school buses and managing the schedule and she eventually went to work for the town of Wilton as head of the school transportation department. She was fondly known as the “School Bus Lady.”
Mrs. Eaton moved to Vermont in 1999 to be near her brother’s family.
