Farm-zoo in Goshen

Set amidst rolling hills and working farms in Goshen is the Action Wildlife Foundation, a farm-zoo that has animals from around the world. Here one can see well cared for reindeer, llamas, water buffalo, American bison, emu, ostriches and zebras, along with even more exotic animals. Visitors may drive through, safari-style, or walk the spacious grounds. In warm weather, weekend hayrides are offered to groups by reservation; individuals pay $3. A petting barn is located in a separate area, where baby farm animals may be fed and touched by guests. There is a gift shop and a snack area. Action Wildlife Foundation is open late April through November, weather permitting; Thursday-Sunday, 10 to 5,  daily during the summer, and weekends in November. Admission is $8 for adults and $6 for children under 12 or drive-through passengers. Group rates and season passes are available; private functions may be scheduled. It is handicapped accessible.
