There are three newspapers covering the town. The

Greenwich Citizen is a weekly published by Brooks Community Newspapers. The office is at 41 West Putnam Avenue. The phone number is 422-5230; the Web site is greenwichcitizen.com.
How can I get an announcement in the Greenwich Post?
You may e-mail press releases, wedding and birth announcements, calendar items, obituaries, or letters to the editor to editor@greenwich-post.com. E-mail sports information to postsports@greenwich-post.com. General information should be submitted by Thursday at 5 for the next week’s paper. Sports, letters, and obituaries should be submitted by Monday for that week’s paper.

Can I read the Greenwich Post online?
Those looking for the latest Greenwich news can find it on the
Greenwich Post’s online site, greenwich-post.com; those looking for stories from previous issues can find them in the same place.
Page one stories, and the top sports stories from the current week’s issue of the
Greenwich Post are available on the paper’s home page and remain accessible at no charge for several weeks. The entire content of the newspaper is added to the archive within about two weeks of publication.
The
Post’s archives are searchable by going to greenwich-post.com and clicking on “Archives” on the left-hand side of the page. Users may then search for information going back as far as June 2003. Just enter a keyword or phrase, choose a time frame (or search all available years), and click “search.”
The first few paragraphs of all articles that match the search criteria entered are available for previewing. To access the entire article, several pricing options are available. Pictures from the
Post are not available through the archive, but may be ordered for a fee by calling 861-9191, or e-mailing editor@greenwich-post.com.
All obituaries going back to September 2005, an up-to-date calendar, useful Web links and the Greenwich Answer Book, as well as access to the Hersam Acorn classifieds, real estate listings and the top stories from the Arts & Leisure section and special monthly supplements are also available at no charge on the

Are there any local television programs?
Greenwich Cable Television Channel 79 is the local public access station. It is managed by a volunteer committee (GCTV Committee) appointed by the Board of Selectmen. A number of volunteer positions are available, both on the committee and in producing programs. Programming includes The Word in Greenwich, Time for a Change, Board of Selectmen meetings, RTM meetings, Board of Estimate & Taxation Meetings, as well as programs on specific issues such as teenage drinking, avian flu, and the proposed public safety complex.
For those who do not receive Channel 79 via Cablevision, the programs may be viewed online as streaming video. For the cablecast or online schedule, check the town Web site greenwichct.org.
How can I get an event on the Channel 79 bulletin board?
The bulletin board is handled by the town’s Administrative Services Department. The bulletin board appears in between program telecasts. Call Michele Hackett at 622-7822 or e-mail mhackett@greenwichct.org.
What radio stations cover Greenwich?
WGCH Radio (wgch.com) is the main voice of Greenwich. The station can be found at 1490 on the AM dial. Local programs include Ask First Selectman Jim Lash Fridays at 9 a.m. followed by Greewnich Entrepreneur, and Viewpoint on Saturdays at 9. Local interviews take place on Monday mornings at 9.

Connecticut Public Radio Station WNPR covers Fairfield County. It is at 88.5 FM. The Web site is cpbi.org.

Greenwich Magazine (869-0009/greenwichmagazine.com) is a monthly general interest magazine.
The Wag (914-740-2100/westchesterwag.com) is a lifestyles magazine that includes Greenwich in its coverage area.
The Anderson Guide to Enjoying Greenwich (629-4519/anderson-real-estate.com) is a book that offers a brief overview of the town with more extensive information on children’s activities, cultural events, recreation, shopping, and dining.
