Submitted stories must 'measure up'
An important notice to all submitters of all Darien youth sports stories
In order to newly maximize space in the sports section the Sports
Department is requiring that all youth sports submissions be cut down
to a bare minimum length from this point forward, please.

Mens College Track
One time Waves Pizzonia, Wyper, Whitehead re-acquaint, excel at Yale meet
Three former DHS track and field standouts, Iona’s Chase Pizzonia (DHS
Class of 2004), Southern’s Ryan Whitehead (DHS ’06) and James Wyper
(DHS ’07) of Yale, all competed against each other at the Yale
Springtime Invitational recently, with all three participating in their
respective conference championship meets as well.

Three Blue Wave boys track distance medley relay teams, the 1200, 400,
800 and 1600, competed in the prestigious Loucks Games Thursday in

at the University of Virginia four years ago, it was the prospect of
performing for the very highly regarded Cavaliers’ bench boss — Dom

Boys Track
The 39 bests
The Darien Boys track team improved to 6-2 with wins over Central
(89-61) and Warde (85-65), but fell to Ridgefield (82-68) back on April
29.
