Reach Dance Project will benefit Person-to-Person

The Reach Dance Project’s annual dance concert, “Bridges” which will benefit Person-to-Person in Darien and include a performance by Darien Dance Center. “Bridges” will be held at 8 on Saturday, March 29, at New Canaan High School.

A silent auction will begin at 7 and continue through intermission.

The dance concert will also feature performances by local dance companies including Bernier Dance of Norwalk, Connecticut Dance School of Fairfield, Dance Collective of NYC, New Canaan Dance Academy and New England Dance Theatre, both from New Canaan.

“The Reach Dance Project leverages the extensive dance community to raise funds to support local charitable groups,” said Bonnie Gombos, a founder of the Reach Dance Project.

“We provide an opportunity for artists to express their artistic vision and have a positive impact on our shared community,” added Gombos.

Gombos, along with Emily Frangipane and Kristin Schweizer, co-founders of the project, selected Person-to-Person as the event’s beneficiary.

“It is an honor to be chosen as a recipient of their efforts,” said Ceci Maher, executive director of Person-to-Person. “The proceeds will go directly into our Emergency Assistance Program.”

Emergency Assistance, Scholarship and Campership are the three major Person-to-Person programs.

Admission is $20, and tickets may be purchased at the door with a check or cash. Credit cards will not be accepted.
