Darien graduation will be on a Wednesday
|
Darien High School seniors will graduate on Wednesday, June 18, the Board of Education has decided.
June 18 is the 180th school day following the start of the school year, which was Sept. 6. The state requires that public schools be in session for a minimum of 180 days each school year.
As long as the school calendar shows 180 school days at the time the commencement date is set, school districts may hold graduation on that day, despite future school postponements, according to state law.
