Children’s Aid tag sale is this Sunday
|
Children’s Aid of Darien will hold its 68th annual tag sale from 9 to 4 on Sunday, April 27, at Middlesex Middle School.
Proceeds from the tag sale will go toward supporting Norwalk-based Family &
Children’s Agency’s youth programs. FCA’s Center for Youth Development includes programs like the after school program, mentoring and Girls’ Challenge. All of FCA’s youth programs are designed to give young people every opportunity to make positive choices and build strong futures.
“We are so grateful to Children’s Aid for their continuing support,” said FCA President Robert Cashel. “By shopping at the tag sale, Darien residents are helping FCA continue the vital work we do in the community. And they can find some great treasures for themselves at the same time.”
Some of the treasures to be found at the tag sale will include children’s clothing, toys, story books, children’s furniture, household goods and appliances, linens and cookbooks, small electronics, household furniture and area rugs. Attendees can also expect raffles, a bake sale and a sandwich bar.
Children’s Aid volunteers will be accepting donations on the two days preceding the sale, from 3 to 5 on Friday, April 25, and from 9 to 3 on Saturday, April 26, at Middlesex Middle School.
