Darien’s Good Wife’s River Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution will hold its annual luncheon meeting at 11 on Wednesday, May 14, at the Roger Sherman Inn in New Canaan.
George Graf will be the keynote speaker and will discuss personal efforts and anecdotes he encountered in tracing his family genealogy. He is the author of the book, “The Manhasset Bay Yacht Club — A Centennial History,” and is the father of DAR member Kimberly Borden.
A business session will be held at 11 prior to the luncheon, which begins at 12:30. Plans will be discussed for members to attend the National Society DAR Convention in Washington, D.C., in July. Annual reports will be given by chapter chairmen and officers, participation in Darien’s upcoming Memorial Day Parade will be finalized, and plans will be made for a summer board meeting and prospective member dinner in September.
