DCA holds annual plant sale Friday

The Darien Community Association Garden Club and Greenhouse Group’s 21st Annual Plant Sale will be held from 8:30 to 12:30 on Friday, May 9, at the DCA.
This year's offerings feature sunny garden perennials, including Dianthus, Hellenium, Centranthus, Salvia transylvanica, Nepata mussinii, Centaurea montana, Coreopsis, Verbascum pheoniceum, and Leucanthemum. Plants that thrive in part-sun or shady environments include Aquilegia, Lobelia, Tiarella, Monarda didyma, Achillea, Agastache, Arthyrium, Pulmonaria, Brunnera, Heuchera, Dicentra, Helleborus orientalis and Digitalis. Also for sale will be a selection of clematis, annuals and herbs, and a variety of geranium and coleus.
The DCA's gardeners (which include horticulturalists and landscape designers) will be on hand to help shoppers choose plants that will grow well together in any garden on in container arrangements. All proceeds will support the DCA and its activities.
