Darien Library holds Passport Day on Saturday

Darien Library and the U.S. Post Office will host Passport Day at the library on Saturday, May 10, from 9 to noon.

Passport applications will be taken for anyone needing a passport. Photo service is available for $15.

The passport fee for persons age 16 and over is $67, plus a $30 execution fee. The passport fee for persons age 16 and over is $52, plus a $30 execution fee. There is an optional expedited service fee of $60.

Evidence of U.S. citizenship or nationality must accompany a birth certificate and passport application, such as a driver’s license, military ID or previous passport.

Children under age 14 must apply in person with both parents. If both parents are not able to be present, see instructions on the Passport Application, Section 5, Present Parental Application Permission Documentation.

Fees must be paid separately. Passport fees are paid to the Department of State by check or money order. Execution fees are paid to USPS in cash, money order or check.
