Celebration of a
nation
At top, Fireworks lit up the nigth sky over Binney Park as part of the early kick-off to Fourth of July celebrations on Saturday. A second show took place at Greenwich Point the same night. Above, Michael Conboy had his own personal fireworks display before the start of the Binney Park display. Earlier that same day, residents watched the unfurling of a 150-foot flag during the Salute to the Veterans program at Havemeyer Field. For a recap of the salute click here. — David Ames photos

Old Greenwich Memorial Day Parade
For Massons, service to country is a family affair
Bob Masson and his two sons, Ken and Rob, have more in common than just a last name.
All three have served as pilots in the United States Navy, and all
three were part of this weekend’s Memorial Day parade on Sound Beach
