Time for gingerbread
Junior League preps for holiday kick off

The Junior League of Greenwich (JLG) will host a gingerbread house decorating workshop on Saturday, Nov. 3 at the Boys & Girls Club, 4 Horseneck Lane.

There will be two sessions: the first from 10 until 11:30 and the second from 2:30 to 4. The gingerbread workshop will jump start the holiday festivities at The Enchanted Forest on Nov. 17 and 18 at the Hyatt Regency.

“The gingerbread workshops are a crowd favorite because it’s something the whole family can do together and the houses they create can be enjoyed throughout the holiday season,” said Nadia Meier, chairperson of The Enchanted Forest, an annual fundraiser for the JLG.

Open to both children and adults, the pricing will be $45 for a gingerbread house. All the icing and candy will be provided. All participants will be able to take home their decorated houses. Registration is requested. Anyone can register on the JLG’s Jlgreenwich.org

“The Enchanted Forest is a wonderful event for the entire community to take part in.  It provides a variety of activities for people of all ages," said Eileen Bartels, JLG president. "Throughout the weekend, we aim to entertain and bring smiles to all who attend, and raise awareness about the Junior League’s mission and community involvement.”
