A Shelton man was arrested Thursday, July 17 on weapons, explosives and reckless endangerment charges after police executed a search warrant at his Shelton residence and found firearms, body armor and three powerful fireworks shells.

Police said Vincent Sansevere, 41, of 2 Biltmore Road, off of Willoughby Road, was held on $150,000 bond for arraignment Friday in Derby Superior Court.

Initial police reports indicated Sansevere was a member of the Hells Angels motorcycle gang. However, Det. Sgt. Kevin Ahern later said Sansevere claimed to have an “affiliation” with the gang, which police could not confirm, but not to be a member.

Shelton National 11-12 Little League All-Stars won their fifth straight District III title by defeating Derby by a 10-0 margin Friday night at Sunnyside Field.

Shelton completed its dominating run through the district tournament with a 5-0 record having outscored its opponents by a 71-2 count and recording four mercy-rule wins along the way.
