Musical to be previewed at May Fair

Drama students from New Canaan High School will preview their spring musical, “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat,” during St. Mark’s May Fair Saturday, May 10. The 15-minute performance will be staged in the courtyard in front of the church hall at noon.
“Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat,” written by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice, is based on the biblical story “Coat of Many Colors.” This light hearted show is pop oriented but also features a wide variety of musical styles while telling the story of Joseph, according to producers.
The show will take the stage at New Canaan High School at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, June 5, and Friday, June 6, and at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 7. Tickets will be sold in the New Canaan High School lobby from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. daily June 2-6, and one hour prior to each show. Ticket prices are $15 for orchestra seating and $12 for mezzanine seating.
