Deborah Quinn, officer’s wife
Deborah Ann Quinn of Bethel, previously of Brookfield, died Friday, April 25, 2008, at Danbury Hospital following a short illness. Ms. Quinn, 42, was the wife of Sgt. J. Peter Quinn Jr., a 20-year member of the Redding Police Department.

Ms. Quinn was born in Greenwich, March 7, 1966, the daughter of John A. “Jack” Capone Jr. of Thomaston and Marilyn “Lyn” Capone of Southbury.

She was raised and educated in Danbury, graduating from Danbury High School, class of 1984 and from Western Connecticut State University with a bachelor’s degree in business. She was employed as a credit analyst with G.E. Capital of Danbury for the past 16 years, and was a parishioner of St. Mary Church, Bethel. In her spare time, she volunteered at Berry School, Bethel.

A very family-oriented person, Ms. Quinn gave all of herself to her family and friends, her family said.

In addition to her husband of 15 years and her parents, Ms. Quinn is survived by three children, Cassidy, Corbin and Camryn Quinn, all of Bethel; her maternal grandmother, E. Odette Ferber of Riverside; one brother, Jeffrey A. Capone of Stratford; her stepmother, Robin Capone of Thomaston; two brothers-in-law, Kevin F. Quinn and his wife Tricia of New Fairfield and Paul G. Quinn and his wife, Susan of Germantown, Ohio; one sister-in-law, Karen L. Capone of Naugatuck; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her brother Michael A. Capone and her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Bernadette K. and John Peter Quinn.

A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated Tuesday at St. Mary Church, Bethel. Burial was in Mountainview Cemetery, New Fairfield. Green Funeral Home, 57 Main Street, Danbury, was in charge of arrangements.

The Redding Police Department has set up a fund for Sgt. Quinn’s children.
