Farmers’ Market opens
Sunday in Georgetown

The Georgetown Farmers’ Market opens Sunday, June 17,  from 10 to 2, at the corner of Main Street and Route 57 in Georgetown.

This season the market will be welcoming four new vendors. Wave Hill Breads, Piergastini’s Fresh Eggs, Apple Barn and Goatboy Soaps. Margaret Safer of Wave Hill Breads, Wilton, will be bringing warm artisan bread fresh from the oven. Bill Piergastini of Newtown will offer farm fresh eggs. Lynn Nash of Apple Barn of Easton will have berries and seasonal fruits. Lisa Agee of Goatboy Soaps of New Milford will be bringing her moisture-rich, handmade goat milk soaps and some of her goats for petting!

Longtime vendors will be returning. Don Taylor, Taylor Family Farm, Danbury, will have his fresh-picked vegetables, salad greens and corn. Bob Dinucci, Veronica’s Garden, Ridgefield, will offer red, ripe tomatoes and peppers. Dave Barney, Lakeview Orchard, Easton, is back with specialty and heirloom apples and fruits. Maureen Rooney, Jim’s Salsa, Trumbull, will spice it up with her tomatillo salsas and Nancy Moore, Moorefield Farm, Trumbull, will offer planters, herbs and bedding plants. Gail Brookover, Blackbird Baked Goods, Georgetown, will offer her apple dumplings and homemade pies and cakes.
