Property sales steady in March, drop significantly in April

Property sales went up slightly in March, totaling $11,561,200 compared to $11,307,519 in February. Then sales dropped significantly to $7,872,500 in April. March sales were down compared to the same month last year.

In March 2006, property sales totaled $14 million. Sales in April are up compared to the same month last year by about $1 million. The average selling price for a house was $770,747 in March, and $1,124,643 in April.

There were 15 residential property sales in March. The high was $2 million for a house on Seventy Acre Road. The low was $375,000 for a house on Chalburn Road. There were five property transfers with “no consideration.”

In April there were seven property sales. The high was $890,000 for a house on Fox Run Road. The low was for a portion of a property that fell on Redding land on Mountain Road that was $4,067. There were three property transfers with “no consideration.”

In February, there were 14 property transfers. The high was $3,600,000 for a house on Tudor Road. The low was $545,000 for a house on Black Rock Turnpike. There were six property transfers with “no consideration.”
