Weather bellwether?
Even before today's "windstorm" arrived, a sizable limb fell on wires on West Lane early this morning; it is shown here being sawed up by a CL&P crewman at 5:15. While no one lost power then, electricity in the area has been shut off late this morning while CL&P replaces a pole damaged by the limb. The power company said 362 customers were offline at 11 a.m. Winds of up to 28 mph have been blowing this morning, but none of the forecast rain has fallen as of 11 a.m. %u2014Press photo
