THE LIBRARY: Candidates sought for Board of Directors

The Ridgefield Library Association is seeking applications from Ridgefielders for membership on its Board of Directors.

“Because of the library building project that is underway, it is a particularly exciting time to become a working part of this 16-member board,” said library Director Chris Nolan. “In addition, the library board members are expected to take on active support of the development efforts necessary to fund this project.” 

Three-year terms begin on July 1.

The board governs policy setting, fund raising, investing, oversight of income and expense, personnel policies, and overseeing property maintenance. 

The library director and professional staff manage policy implementation and daily operations of the library.
