About 170 Weston High School seniors will walk down the aisle amidst much pomp and circumstance next Tuesday, June 19. Unless some advance planning is done, their parents and guests may be doing some walking, too.

Parking will be limited for Weston High School’s graduation ceremony, which is set to begin at 6 p.m. under a tent between the high school and the intermediate school, near the football field.

School Road will be closed to most vehicles between the middle school and the entrance to the intermediate school. Police will be stationed at checkpoints to let through graduates, faculty, and those who require handicapped parking.

Graduates will be allowed to park in the back section of the parking lot directly across from the high school; faculty may park in the section of the same parking lot closest to the school.

Handicapped parking will be available in the small lot on the south side of the high school nearest the tent. Those wishing to park in the handicapped lot should call Anne Graham at the high school (291-1600) before next Tuesday to reserve a spot.

For the general public, parking is available in the middle school parking lot and the intermediate school parking lot until the lots are filled. Once they are filled, motorists may park in the lot at Hurlbutt Elementary School and at the central office building.

A shuttle bus will run between the Hurlbutt lot and the high school beginning at about 5 p.m.
