The Friends of the Easton Public Library’s annual Country Fair on Sept. 25 featured old-fashioned food, children’s games and activities, pony rides, farm animals, a pie-eating contest and Cow Chip Raffle. Proceeds will support library programs.

Easton Congregational Church hosted a Sept. 19 tour with historian Jonathon Stock so people could learn more about the church, built in the 1830s to replace the original structure from the 1760s.
The ninth anniversary of 9/11 was marked at ceremonies on the Easton Library Green, where a memorial will be built; at Joel Barlow High, where a scholarship was given out; and on Firehouse Green, with a flag tribute.

People of all ages had a blast at this year’s Easton Fireman’s Carnival from Aug. 3-7. This was the carnival’s 75th anniversary.
